Knit For Life is a project of empowerment founded and run by women in Australia to empower a community of women in rural Zimbabwe. An Australian registered charity, Knit For Life was born from a desire to provide a community of artisan hand knitters with the dignity of sustainable, paid work and the opportunity to support their families with pride by using their artisan knitting skills. It is widely recognized that that when women are lifted out of poverty, the whole community benefits.
